Failed a DOT drug or alcohol test in Dallas? DFW SAP is a Dallas-based team of qualified DOT Substance Abuse Professionals. We see Dallas drivers and safety-sensitive employees by live video, often the same day, with in-person evaluations available in Dallas. Not in Dallas? We work with drivers anywhere in the U.S. by video.
Who we see in Dallas
Dallas sits at the crossroads of I-35E, I-20, I-30 and I-45, with one of the country’s busiest freight hubs in the Inland Port in south Dallas. We work with safety-sensitive employees across every DOT agency:
- CDL drivers (FMCSA) — long-haul, regional, local delivery, owner-operators and drivers between jobs
- Transit employees (FTA) — bus and rail operators, mechanics and dispatchers
- Aviation employees (FAA) — pilots, flight attendants, mechanics and other covered employees at Love Field and DFW Airport
- Pipeline (PHMSA), rail (FRA) and maritime (USCG) employees
- Non-DOT evaluations for courts, probation, employers and licensing boards — learn more
We also see drivers from across Dallas County and the surrounding cities, including Irving, Garland, Mesquite, Richardson, Plano, Carrollton, Grand Prairie, Lancaster, DeSoto, Frisco and McKinney.
In person in Dallas, or by video from wherever you are
Since DOT’s 2023 rule change, your SAP evaluation can be done face to face by live video. Most of our Dallas clients choose video over Microsoft Teams from home, the yard or the cab. If you would rather meet in person, we offer in-person evaluations in Dallas — tell us when you call.
How it works
- Call us first at 214-901-7079, 7 days a week, 8 AM–6 PM Central. We answer your questions before you commit.
- Register in the FMCSA Clearinghouse and designate Nichelle Chandler as your SAP (CDL drivers).
- Pay by card or Zelle, and book your appointment.
- Your evaluation — and your recommendation the same day.
- Follow-up evaluation once you have completed your recommendation, and we report your eligibility for the return-to-duty test.

Your Texas CDL is on the line. Since November 2024, the Texas Department of Public Safety, like every state licensing agency, must downgrade the CDL of a driver whose Clearinghouse status is Prohibited until the return-to-duty process is complete. The sooner you start, the sooner it is behind you.
Choose a SAP whose work holds up
Your employer, your C/TPA and, during audits, DOT all review your SAP’s work — and DOT rules do not let you get a second evaluation because you want a different recommendation. DFW SAP has done DOT SAP evaluations for nearly 20 years and has never failed an audit over process, procedure or compliance. Why your choice of SAP matters →
